Development diary: Affordable DIY Eurorack modules in development & production

Modules in development

Below is a list of new (mostly) DIY Eurorack modules which are currently in the design phase, with schematics where available.

I’m trying to make modules 3hp and 4hp (to be discussed in another post), and use standards defined in Selecting components: Two easy rules for keeping build standards affordable.

“Mini-mix” 2-channel mixer

A 3hp 3-channel mixer, including gain control for each input channel, and an overall gain control for the output. Uses Thonkiconn style 3.5mm horizontal jacks.

Prototype PCB and front panel are currently in test phase.

“No Knobs” VCO

A 3hp (maybe 4hp…) 1V/Oct CV only VCO based on the Alfa AS3340 chip. Uses Cliff style 3.5mm horizontal jacks.

Prototype PCB and front panel are currently in test phase.

Schematic for V1.0.3 here. As this is still being finished off, the values suggested may change slightly.

MS-20 style filter

This one is still in the very early stages of development.

Passive mult.

Buy here.
Build guide.

A simple 3hp passive mult, providing 1×6 or 2×3 splitting. If input 5 is used, it changes from 1×6 to 2×3. Uses Thonkiconn 3.5mm vertical jacks.

This is a great first module for anyone wanting to try their hand at putting and soldering together a module.

I’m not even going to upload the schmatic for this one…
